The Jábega Awards are the main object pursued by the non-profit cultural association "Jábega".. According to this entity "These awards focus, in each edition, on the recognition of excellence, the search and finding of merit in a trajectory, in a fact, in the achievement of goals, growth and empowerment of creativity, innovation and culture in any of its manifestations".

The Jábega were held for the first time in 2013 and, since then, they have been a highlight of the potential of the province of Málaga. The modalities of the awards focus on quality, the quality of Malaga and the enhancement of identity, progress, collaboration, social and economic growth and, above all, on the desire to bet on a long path of forward evolution that places Málaga as a privileged place on the planet.

The activities of the Jábega Cultural Association are part of the cultural and social cooperation between the public and private spheres.
