Removals versus innovation
MOVES VERSUS INNOVATION
27/04/2018
WILL THERE BE ROBOTIC REMOVALS IN THE NEAR FUTURE? WILL THERE BE INTERPLANETARY RELOCATIONS?
In a world where we see driverless cars on the road and, no doubt, will soon see them flying. In a world where going on holiday in a rocket ship is now merely a question of affordability; where the augmented reality is certainly palpable. A world where technology is everywhere, assisting in operating theatres with the utmost sophistication to save human lives, performing experiments of all kinds and surpassing itself daily at breakneck speed. A world where drones fly over our heads, scanning human reality; where 3D printing makes it possible to print almost anything on a massive scale; where everything is recorded, where there is the BigData and the BlockchainIn a world in which our lives depend on a small device called a mobile phone. In a world that operates on these premises in all fields of business, what can we expect in the removals sector?
GIL STAUFFER ATTENDS THE DEBATE ON INNOVATION ORGANISED BY DIR&GE
On 24 April last, a very interesting meeting was held, organised by dir&gethe leading platform for the managerial environment, and which was powered by Prodwarea company dedicated to business solutions. During this debate as a way of brain stormingThe event brought together a number of different companies from a wide range of fields of activity. The restaurant Tatellocated in the heart of Madrid, was the ideal place to create a relaxed atmosphere where the managers of these organisations opened their minds to let their concerns flow and draw useful conclusions on the general topic under discussion: Innovation.
Thus, the moderation was carried out by John Carlos Lozanoas CEO of dir&ge and the call was attended by Javier Pérez, Digital Practice Manager at Prodware; Arantxa SarasolaDirector of Innovation at ING Spain; Charo ÁlvaroDirector of Communication and Marketing at GIL STAUFFER; Alicia OrtegaGeneral Manager in TuDespensa.com; Alicia Pérez, Marketing Manager Iberia in AVIS Budget Group; Miguel Ocaña, Sales Manager in MPS; José María Visconti, Marketing Director - Outdoors in MAXAM; Ricardo TejeroDirector of Organisation in Leroy Merlin Spain; Miguel Angel Gomez, Director of Marketing and Analysis at Air Miles España S.A. and Javier Pérez, Digital Practice Manager at Prodware.
During the course of the event, each participant offered their particular vision of the concept based on their own business reality. Given that they were companies with very different idiosyncrasies, the unanimity in some of the conclusions was certainly curious: Technology yes, of courseas a investment needed to listen to the customerand meet their needs and facilitating human tasks of the teams that manage day-to-day operations. To this end, it is necessary to good talent management in such a way that the millennials are complementary and bring an effective freshness to the more experienced teamsThe new business cards are almost non-existent in today's world, because there is no such thing as a business card anymore. LinkedIn and in which the Marketing departments must be in complete alliance with those of R&D&I to correctly meet the needs expressed by the client.
Unanimity also in stating that spanish talent is very valuable and it is very important to preserve it through appropriate motivation. Therefore, do not let our talent leave our country and protecting Spain's brand everywhere, are resolutions that we should all put into practice. combining these concepts with that of innovation.
Moving versus innovation? Is innovation making the future?
To innovate is to make the future and most brands are in a constant and very rapid process of change, but then, in the removals Will we soon see interstellar removals? GIL STAUFFER is now 113 years old and is characterised by the fact that it has always been a pioneer company in its sector. However, its eminently artisanal activityimplies that one of its greatest assets is human capital and robotisation is still far from being able to fulfil the current task of providing quality customer service.. So, according to these premises, will it be GIL STAUFFER A pioneering brand in moving to other planets by rockets or other as yet unknown means? Now that the future is already the present, who knows how far the answer to this question could go if certain circumstances arise, such as, for example, the short-term collusion of a brand like GIL STAUFFER with a giant of Internet such as Google or an alliance with Facebook, Amazon o Alibaba.
