Resounding success of the V Edition of Marbella Design Art 2022

Fifty designers and 180 brands came together at this edition of the design and interior design fair which, in fusion with contemporary art, lasted 11 days at the Palacio de Ferias, Exposiciones y Congresos. Adolfo Suárez of Marbella.

The event also featured an exhibition of international contemporary art presented in the common spaces and on the stands of some of the participating brands, while presentations were held and a programme of parallel activities was developed.

This event is already one of the most important interior and design fairs in Europe, combining them with contemporary art, and at this edition 180 brands and fifty interior designers were present, with 50 stands set up in a highly original way. A fusion of art and design with highly innovative proposals that have exceeded the sector's expectations, showing avant-garde and surprising trends. With more than 17,000 attendees, the event has demonstrated its exponential and avant-garde development in the world of interior design and design, which, in fusion with contemporary art, has become an international benchmark in just five years. Both brands and interior designers have made every effort to present the most innovative, surprising and sustainable proposals, products, materials and solutions at Marbella Design & Art.

The work that designers and brands have done in their spaces has also been assessed by a jury that has chosen the most creative, innovative, avant-garde and sophisticated works. The jury was made up of Teresa Herrero, ambassador of Maison & Object, Carlos Manzano, architect and founder or co-creator of Madrid's Club Matador, Pilar Civis, director of INTERIORES, Alfonso Castellón, Marbella interior designer and creative director of Marbella Design in previous editions, and the architect César Caicoya, founding partner of IDOM and technical architect of Bilbao's Guggenheim.

Thus, the use of colour, with its suggestion of energy and vitality, has made it worthy of the Mention for best colour treatment to Midnight Space (Wherever) by Wever Ducré, in which the interior designer Mar Veraby Welcome DesignHe was able to show his expertise in the use of textures and colours in this place called Midnight Wherever. A spectacularly designed space featuring the classic tinge of French boiseries, hand-painted with plant motifs and emphasising the contrast and modernity of deep, acid and fluorine colours, mixed with the brightness of strategic lighting.

The presence of Gil Stauffer as the best organisation in removals is present at this event, as partner of Welcome Designis undoubtedly an open door to the design and interior design environment that will surely bear fruit in the not too distant future.
